Is Google planning for Gemini 4 rather than 3.5 pro?

As other tech giants are releasing their newer models, Google is yet to make a big announcement but they are constantly launching new models as the flash series currently on 3.8. Many articles say that they have skipped 3.5-pro and planning to release Gemini-4 in october which will surpass GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable 5.1 ?
