Once I have implemented such tiling using shadertoy. Source code: https://github.com/Panzerschrek/shader_bits/blob/master/penr.... No recursion is really needed (which isn't supported in shaders), but a plain loop with N iterations to achieve tiling of depth N.

Is Simon Tatham’s site still online? It would not respond when I clicked the link.

The day Paul Bourke’s site goes offline is the day the internet dies. Only slightly kidding: I read it as a teenager and yet it’s still there providing solid code and answers. https://paulbourke.net/miscellaneous/interpolation/ is still there as I read it in 2001.

If you want something truly diabolical, attempt to tile your bathroom with either of those patterns (yes, these tile shapes can be bought).

Assuming you have a tile cutter for when you hit the walls, why is this diabolical? It sounds enormous fun.

Famously where Penrose got the idea from in the first place.

In Anathem, which Penrose tiling was the Teglon?

I have, a bit too late, realized there are more tilings than I thought.
